A weekend with nothing to do
August 11, 2008
Quick! Make plans. We had a whole weekend with nothing on the calendar, but we made quick work of those two empty boxes.
Saturday we headed over to Missy’s place for a swim under the Bay Bridge, literally.

The water is heated, but that didn’t do anything to calm down the wind chill when we were getting out…brrr! Lilia still didn’t seem convinced that a pool is more fun then her sink bath, but she did do some good swimming on her belly and floating on her back and we dunked her under which she tolerated, barely. It was a bit cool and near her lunch time so we’ll try again on a warmer SF day soon!
After our swim, and brief hop into the jacuzzi, we hung out with Missy and her cat Lola, had lunch then did a bit of shopping while Lilia napped in the Ergo.
While shopping I got a text from Shelby saying she was in town from NYC, so I organized a super last minute brunch with her, Keri and Paul for this afternoon.
They all laughed at me when I told them we were poaching omelette’s in little ziplock bags, but they were so good everyone but egg-hater Paul had two. Thank you Paula Dean!
Fun stuff can happen when you have no plans.
